Precise note edits
Assistants can change one part of a task note without rewriting the rest.
- Edit or append only the relevant passage.
- Unchanged text stays exactly as written.
- If the note changed underneath, nothing is silently overwritten.
A note that grows into a document was being rewritten whole every time an assistant changed a line of it. Most notes are short, but the long ones were coming back reworded — one of them seventeen times in a single day.
An assistant can now send only the passage it means to change. Everything it does not touch stays exactly as you wrote it, down to the punctuation.
The write is also pinned to the note the assistant read. If you changed it in the meantime, the edit is refused and the current note comes back, instead of quietly landing on top of your words.
